It was a very dry November.

November 2007 was the driest in eight years but November this year was even drier, the driest in nine years with only 25.5mm of rain. The grass in the paddocks looks stunted. The newly installed rainwater tanks are still very empty.

Hope we get some decent rainfall in December which is fairly moist on average. Talking about weather in December Brian Keats, the author of the Astro Calender warns us of some severe weather events on or around December 13 when the moon will hit the trifecta. It will be the closest to the earth this year (which is called the proxigee), a full moon and peak north (before ascending).

"This cluster of lunar events, only a matter of hours apart, is a very powerful combination that places tremendous torques in the atmosphere, ocean and the tectonic plates floating on tidal magma - and of course plant saps."
