In October 2008 we had 61 ml of rain over 11 days, of which 18 ml fell on 6th and 9.5 ml on 20th (both dates were when the moon was at its peak, ie the 6th was the beginning of the moon's descent while the 20th was the ascent).

Below is the monthly rainfall for October since 2000.

It is a decent amount of rain, as we had a very wet October last year (2007) with 90.5 ml, but excluding that, the average for the month is around 46.4 ml.

The total rainfall this year to date is 545.5 ml.
