We received the latest electricity bill today. According to this, between Sep 20 and Oct 20 (31 days), we used 197 kwh of electricity - about 6.35 kwh a day. By switching to firewood for water heating and cooking, we have more than halved our power consumption it seems. The revised annual consumption forecast is slightly less than 2500 kwh.
According to the analysis given by Ken Mitchell, our house is nearly qualified to be a 'low energy home'.
